Just the Beginning

posted April 11, 2012

Today I registered with Festival Network Online hoping people might see my soap and grow curious about Freya.

Freya is named after a character of Norse Mythology. Freya was said to be Odin's daughter (also Thor's sister). The tales reflect that Freya is the original independent, beautiful woman who was strogly connected to nature.

I may not be a an artist, but the soap is wonderful. My family and I use only what I produce. I am proud of my products becasuse they are natural, and created in combinaitons that are pleasant to use, and healthy for the skin.

Commercial soap is mostly detergents and other man-made chemicals with the naturally occuring glycerin removed. Commertial soap also leaves chemical residue that can dry or damage human skin.

I use essential oils, not fragrance oil. I also use carrier oils, milks, herbs, colorants that occur in nature. The majority of my soap is animal-free, meaning that none of the ingredients were derived from an animal (such as tallow or lard).

My daughter and her college friends are trying out Freya samples this month and I will share the feedback and I receive it. My husband loves the good, old-fashoined basic soap - which is also a great choice for women due to the fragrance-free, chemical free qualities.

Sounds like I got a package (new soap ingredients)! Talk more later!
