Gerard Sean Schott is an artist with broad skills that span several artistic disciplines. For his illustrations and paintings, his choice of media ranges from graphite and charcoal to paints and stains, watercolors, colored pencils & inks. For his sculptural work, he prefers stone, metal and wood. The most common subject matter for Gerard has traditionally been anatomy; both human and otherwise, although recently he has begun to experiment with abstract ideas. His work has been well received in galleries throughout Colorado and is represented in many private collections nationwide. Gerard’s professional career began before he left high school, and propelled him through Metropolitan State College of Denver, where he graduated in 1996, receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Over the years, his academic and artistic pursuits have been mixed with nomadic journeys through the Midwest and the East Coast, before returning home to his native state of Colorado.
