About the author: Gretchen Ehle Zimmer, M.ed. graduated with a degree in elementary education from Clemson University in 1992, as well as earning a masters’ of guidance and development from Winthrop University in 1995. The many children that she has taught and counseled through her public education service have been the primary catalyst for her motivational children’s books.
Gretchen, a Carolina native, lives in Lake Wylie, SC and enjoys spending time with her husband, Mike and their three children, Will, Luke and Carly. Traveling, gardening, boating and writing are just a few of her passions. Her personal philosophy is based on the belief that by utilizing the power of positive thinking, perseverance and humor, anything is possible.
About the book: Accepting Apples is the first in her seasonal series for life. This fascinating book focuses on encouraging children to be more accepting and welcoming of others, regardless of differences. The next in the series, The Turbulent Turkey is due to be released in the fall of 2010.
