H. B. Barry Strasbourg-Thompson is a full time working artist who produces, teaches and markets unique Fine Art paintings, hand pulled print editions, and multimedia drawings for the inquiring mind and spirit.
Strasbourg-Thompson has recently completed more than 73 new artworks in his latest series "Constant Contact - Staying In Touch". This ongoing series of paintings, hand pulled prints and drawings will be exhibited in 2024.
Strasbourg- Thompson holds an honors BFA from the University of Ottawa, an Art & Studio Certificate from Ontario College of Art and Design University, a Post War Painting Certificate from the Museum of Modern Art/Coursera, and is completing a Design program at Cal Arts, and an Art Business Certificate at the Ontario College of Art and Design University.
Strasbourg-Thompson directs his private H.B. Barry Strasbourg-Thompson BFA Studio & Art Instruction practice at his school and studio, 10519 Knight Road on idyllic Vancouver Island in Saltair, BC, Canada.
Barry continues to practice his family's tradition of the full time Fine Art practices that they have been providing, studying, creating, teaching and marketing for 7 generations.
Barry's Fine Artwork is collected in International and Canadian private and public collections including the Canadian Museum of Civilization, the USA Library of Congress, and the City of Ottawa. His artwork has been shown at Exit Art in New York.
As well, Strasbourg-Thompson introduces new painters to the exquisite world of Fine Art by conducting www.PaintNite events for them at local Vancouver Island fine restaurants and pubs.
