I've been beading for close to thirty years, and selling my jewelry almost as long. I've been setting up at local craft shows since about 2006. In 2019 I won First Place in Fine Craft at the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts' 13th Annual Juried Arts Festival Reading.
My background is actually in diamonds, and I am a Certified Diamond Grader from the Gemological Institute of America. I also have a number of other certifications from them as well, including pearls and bead stringing.
I have taken the classic elegance of strung pearls and beads and updated it by removing the string and replacing it with decorative wire wrapping. All the materials that I use are all natural, coming from the Earth: semi-precious and precious gemstones and precious metals. To be clear, by precious stones I'm referring to diamonds, emeralds, rubies, and sapphires, and precious metals are sterling silver, gold, and platinum. I do not use glass, crystal, imitation, clay, or anything else.
Audrey Hepburn said "Elegance is the only beauty that never fades," and I think she would have loved my work.
