My artwork reflects my inner child, and the canvas is my playground!
I love nature and enjoy creating textured paintings saturated in bright colors using thick, bold strokes of the palette knife (called deep impasto). I mostly work with acrylic paints (mostly Liquitex Pro, and Golden). I obtain that thick, frosting-like texture using mediums such as extra-heavy gel or molding paste.
I am inspired by many artists, especially impressionists and surrealists. My favorite artist, however, is Van Gogh. Though impressionism was not appreciated in his time, it is one of the most popular styles today. His work inspired me to pick up a brush and palette knife.
