Inky Glass, Bronx, NY
Musically influenced by a wide variety of brilliant artists from Patti Smith to Billie Holiday, with favorites like Robert Johnson, Janis Joplin, Big Mama Thornton Ani Difranco, Bob Dylan and Nick Cave; Inky Glass' sound is smokey, achy, and opaque. She is to the bones blue. Think of a younger female version of Lenard Cohen with a twist of Bessie Smith, and a splash of Tom Waits, garnished with Lucinda Williams and that is Inky.
Inky is a well seasoned performer, starting out in the theater as a "Triple Threat". She has performed internationally as a tap dancer, singer, actress, and an annoying street mime based on Charlie Chaplain. In addition, she has written and performed several one woman shows, and a full length play produced in Philadelphia and in NYC.
