I create beautiful art from steel and other metals. The metal is cut, ground, polished, hammered and flame tempered to make crosses, flowers, butterflies, masks and custom, one-off designs. Every process is done with hand held tools. I use no computer aided machines and my art pieces are not flat silhouettes cut from sheet metal. I start with thick steel plate as the backbone of my pieces and then add layer after layer of hammered, polished adornments for metal art pieces that have depth and dimension. Color is added by flame tempering and by melting and brushing other non-ferrous metals. Every Holy Mackerel Metal Art piece is unique.
