Homosassa Arts, Crafts and Seafood Festival
The Homosassa Arts, Crafts & Seafood Festival was started in 1975 as a fundraiser for the Homosassa Civic Club. The club was the only organization for community care and planning for the riverside community and still provides guidance. The festival helps the club provide scholarships for graduating seniors and adult learners. It also supports the efforts of many local service organizations. In 2024, the Civic Club became the Hurricane Relief Center for residents who lost everything in back-to-back storms.
Two years later, the 50th anniversary Homosassa Arts, crafts & Seafood Festival is celebrating its history, as well the culture of the riverside community where it all began. For 5 decades, the event has hosted a juried art show for 200 Fine Artists, The wealth of sculptors who fashion items in wood, glass and metal, plus creative crafters with handmade and and edible selections is exciting. Tour the Homosassa Heritage Center and meet colorful characters from days past. Our fishing guides will cook up fish while lots of chefs provide seafood dishes and other tasty creations. Enjoy a cold beer and live music. ( Yes, it's OK to dance barefoot on the lawn.) The interactive Kids Zone has face painting and games. It's fun for all- except fur babies who are not invited.
