The Illinois Wine & Art Festival has been a favorite for art, wine, and music enthusiasts for 16 years. The festival is held near beautiful Rend Lake in southern Illinois on the grounds adjacent to the (now closed) Southern Illinois Art & Artisan Center. This weekend draws thousands of people to sample wines from many local and regional vendors and to showcase the artisan vendors displaying and demonstrating their fine crafts. This outdoor festival has a variety of live music performed on stage each day and there are local food vendors to satisfy every craving. Festival attendees are encouraged to bring their own pop up shade tent and lawn chairs and to spend the gorgeous fall days enjoying the wine, music, art, and food.
