Aloha,

Allow us to introduce you to, Island Noodles - a unique food vendor for special events which specializes in “Hawaiian Style Wok-Fired Soba Noodles”.

David Owen, owner and operator of Blue Ridge Island Noodles, presents a healthy, entertaining and cost effective alternative for organizers of special events to offer their patrons. Island Noodles has proven to be extremely popular for over 19 years, especially among the health conscious festival attendees. Currently, Island Noodles operates in fourteen states, 38 cities and performs over 120 venues annually providing enjoyable results for attendees and organizers alike.

Island Noodles started in 1994 with a popular family recipe. Using this recipe and the founders’ training at The Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park, New York (graduate 1980) a new concept menu item designed for special events was born.

Island Noodles utilizes freshly made Yaki-Soba noodles, made with hi-protein wheat, traditionally served in Hawaii. These noodles are stir-fried with fresh garlic, ginger, and a medley of 21 locally sourced vegetables, in specially designed wok stove units. These ingredients are then simmered in a secret light island sauce. The outcome is a unique, vegan dish with a high flavor profile using no dairy, nuts, or meat products. A 16 oz. portion of Island Noodles is conveniently served in a unique sealable take out container. This amount is generally enough for two persons. Aloha Soy Sauce and Sriracha Thai chili sauce are condiments offered to compliment the already flavorful dish. Our current price is $6-8.00 per serving making Island Noodles not only healthy, but cost effective as well. Island Noodles has added garlic and ginger glazed teriyaki chicken as an option to the menu. It is added to the noodles upon request for $1-2 extra.

Our booth resembles a "tiki-hut", constructed with bamboo and a woven leaf material known as "lauhala". A canopy covers commercial rubber floors with a tarp underlayment. Our total minimum area requirement is 10x14 ft., which includes a 10x10 ft. covered work area and an attached 10x4 ft. exhibition cooking area. Due to constant customer interaction and a dynamic exhibition cooking presentation, we generally request a corner location for easy viewing. We request 20 amps of power if available, however, we can provide our own power with Honda Whisper Quiet generators making Island Noodles versatile and adaptable as well!
