Started making Pottery after visiting the New Mexico, Arizona Indian Pubelos
in 1989. Fell in love with the People and the area. Couldn't afford the pottery but loved it. I sat and talked to the potters, watched what they did. Came home and read up on coiled pottery and started trying to make it. And have been making it ever since.
As for the Jewelry. My sister Lisa inspired me to start about 10 years ago. She was making realy beautiful stone and bead jewelry and I had to try to make some myself. So I started using larger stones and sterling silver. And now we both make beautiful jewelry. Just a little different.
I cut and polish most of my cabochons I set in sterling silver that I have hand fabricated. Sister Sandy came in with Lisa and I making jewelry when she came over to my house and I was working on some necklaces. She loved the rocks and wanted to try her hand at making jewelry too. So I gave her some beads and wire and she has been going every since. We now go to about 6 - 8 Festivals a year. Plus doing this online shop. Hope you will check our work.
