My entry into the craft world was purely accidental about two years ago. I had purchased several lanyards from a colleague that overtime all began to break. At first I saught the assistance of a cousin to repair them, but she eventually got tired of me and told me to 'learn how to do it myself'. Originally I had all the excusess in the world to not learn how to do it myself -- I thought that I wasn't creative enough; I didn't have the time. When I was down to my last lanyard, I decided to give it a try.
What surprised me the most is how much I enjoyed making the lanyards. Before I knew it I was making matching earrings and then my colleagues started requesting that I make them a set. After awhile, I decided to branch out even further and begun making bracelets and necklaces and taking classes to learn new techniques. Before long, my passion for beading was officially ignited.
