Jan Condon has been a painter since childhood and recently retired from
a thirty year full time graphic artist position. Today she is focusing on
building a freelance art business. She currently accepts portrait commissions
and loves to paint seascapes, landscapes and still life in acrylics.
Light and color are the primary inspirations in her work. Focusing on
juxtapositions of color and achieving a lyrical, playful quality or a sense
of movement in my work is what she strives to achieve in each piece. Her
goal as an artist is creating a balance between the elements of color, light and movement as well as taking the viewer on a journey to another place.
Change and growth in her work and continually learning new techniques motivates her. She feels blessed and very grateful to have the time and
opportunity to explore art.
