Jennifer Hendricks, San Jose, CA
Jennifer has always had a passion for art and design which developed from working in the construction management industry. Jennifer’s work ranged from sitting on-site at a project managing contracts and close-out requirements to the corporate office with a team in business development. As usual, the construction industry is an indicator for the economy through lay-offs that seemed, as of late, to never end. Jennifer stopped looking and considered the last lay-off “retirement.”
Coming from a corporate background with a master’s in business psychology (specializing in project management), the career change was natural for Jennifer. As a result, her business has flourished. It has taken roughly one year for her work to hit the main stage in the “Independent Film” platform. Jennifer’s own design “For the Love of Emeralds” sterling silver cross was purchased from Joe Murray (nativesonsfilms.com) studio to be used in their December 2012 release “The Maid’s Room.” The film company was so pleased with the piece that they requested a duplicate, as well as giving Lavender Design Studio a screen credit.
