My name is Rae Rodriguez, I'm a designer of jewelry and home accessories. I'm based out of the Santa Cruz Mountains in Boulder Creek, CA. Since 2008, my business name is Jester Swink. I'm a lover of all things esthetics, which is driven by design, asymmetry, and the unexpected all coming together.
My jewelry is handcrafted and all about texture. I use various methods to achieve this - metal clay, stamping, hammering, rolling mill, etching, and more. I work with fine & sterling silver, bronze, copper., and steel. I'm inspired by modern vintage, nature, juxtaposition, and pattern/design. My designer goal is creating handcrafted jewelry that inspires women with independent style.
My home accessories consist of wall hangings and spinners. I often use found driftwood and add wool roving, beads, chain, fabrics, semi precious stones and other elements.. I love the idea of dressing your walls - adding depth, color, texture and style to your home. The pieces also play on light and shadow inside your home, so it's art on art. I've recently added small bud vases to the collection, using both metal and ceramic clay.
