Leaf 'Crete----Nature captured in concrete. Established April, 2005
Joe is a retired businessman who was owner of Jerome's Flowers and Gifts in Greenville, PA and Tony is a retired music teacher in the Grove City Area Schools in Grove City, PA
After reading an article instructing how to cast real leaves out of concrete we decided to give it a try. When the project was completed concrete was left over so we checked the property for additional leaves to cast. Then we experimented with various mixtures of concrete, stains, paints, and sealers and "Leaf 'crete" had its beginning.
Each piece is handcrafted and cast from a real leaf. The process involves casting, hydrating, grinding, painting, staining and sealing.
These leaf castings are for indoor or outdoor use, such as wall hangings, landscape garden pieces, fruit bowls, candle holders, oil lamps, soap dishes, bird feeders, or bird baths.
