Julia di Biasi, San Rafael, CA
artist and designer, julia di biasi, has been ruining her good clothes with paint for as long as her mom can remember. she comes from a family of eccentric artists who wish they could do nothing but fill the world with bright colors. instead they manage to fill the walls, floors and laundry with them.
julia makes her home in the northern bay area of california (marin), but has lived all over the united states and has traveled extensively throughout europe, asia, mexico, the carribean, disneyland and the west indies in search of strange objects to glue on walls and just about anything else that doesn't move.
since the moment she first picked up a box of crayons, julia was both inspired and encouraged by her mother, ellie, who is an accomplished artist herself. julia works in glass, ceramics & mixed media, using these materials to create art for the home & body. her artwork includes home decor items, mosaics, jewelry, and much more -- using an expansive variety of unique vintage gems, found objects, handmade & handpainted ceramic pieces, fused glass, and other ecclectic treasures she has gathered from secret, mysterious places around the world.
