Karen Davis, singer/songwriter/guitarist has a passionfor rhtyhm guitar. At age 12, she became a life-long fan of the Who, teaching herself to play double-time percussive acoustic guitar. She also fell in love with the lush, pastoral textures of Yes and Led Zeppelin. Whe's been combining these styles ever since.
In 2005, she teamed up with singer/guitarist Joe Pla. Since then, they've performed all along the east coast as far south as Floyd, VA and as far north as Springfiled, MA. The travels continue, taking them to Catskills Region of upstate New York and out to Pennsylvania. Several of those gigs have been festival, found on this very site.
Karen and Joe are putting the finishing touches on a CD to be called Blue Sky Dream; the tentative release date in December 2009. The tunes range from mellow folk-psychedelia to pop-flavored energetic indie rock. Give a listen, and find the latest performance dates at http://www.blackchickrock.com
