Handmade bags, totes and miscellaneous crafty stuff. 

My craft business was born out of a love for the creative process. I have been sewing since I was five years old when my grandmother taught me to hand-sew my doll clothes out of chicken feed sacks. Chicken feed sacks actually were made out of calico fabric!

My seamtress career continued through 4-H Club projects, Home Economics Class and later construction of costumes for theatrical productions.

Upon retiring I had my first adventure in bagmaking when I took a Craftsy class from Annie Unrein. After making the Ultimate Travel Bag I was hooked on bag making.

I opened my business, Kate Creates LLC, in July 2018 as an outlet for all my current and future creative projects.
