I fell in love with both art and the beach at a young age so creating art inspired by the ocean and the environment surrounding it is a natural fit for me. A graduate of Florida State University with a degree in Art Education, I've enjoyed a long career teaching art and working as an artist and illustrator.

These past few years my focus has been on abstractedly painting saltwater fish originally cast in fiberglass from the actual fish so that I work with their natural shapes and textures. I use intricate patterns as well as  representational shapes from Florida's flora and fauna. I also create 'Rusties' out of rescued hurricane dock wood. The wood is cut into fish shapes and embellished with all sorts of rusty tools and objects.

My fish have been exhibited in galleries from Key West to Hilton Head as well as in Art and Seafood Festivals. Each fish is a signed original.
