Laura Spatig is an up-and-coming mixed media artist based in southwest Arizona. Originally from Scottsdale, as a school-aged child, she felt a connection to and interest in art in all forms, with her tastes running the gamut from photography to ceramics. Later, she found herself with a debilitating medical condition that left her with chronic pain and a deep depression that she just couldn't shake. It was from this dark place that her love for inspirational artwork would spring and flourish. Starting first with a few random pieces of vintage costume jewelry she had around the house, and a craving for any kind of joy, it soon became clear that her art was going to be far more than a few craft projects. It was a vehicle by which both she and her growing audience could find inspiration and hope. Today, she has found a way through spiritual, uplifting beauty to share a message of love and worth. Not only has it become a therapeutic outlet for her, but her followers have found their own healing in owning their own original, one-of-a-kind work of art. Laura's work has been shown in multiple fairs and expositions such as the Yuma Art Walk, the Bisbee Festival “Pride Day”, the Yuma County Fair, and the Yuma Regional Medical Center's Cancer Center “Healing of Art” show (2019). In her off-time, she (along with her husband, Steve) enjoy their 2 Standard Poodles, and travelling.
