The wood used is mostly found locally in NE Ohio. However, a few rare woods are imported from all over the world. In addition to the VAST selection of walking sticks/cain's/recurve bows, you are free to choose your own custom design...
You pick the length, type of wood, finish, carving, emblems, rope (color and type), end (bottom piece), topper (top piece), wood cure time, and general bends such as a handle.
Custom artwork does not carry with it some sort of extra fee added on, BUT depending on your demands it may get quite pricey on it's own. I will of course get back to you within a few days with a, quote and sketch, before anything is done. At that point the ball is in your court, and if you wish to proceed 1/2 of the quote money is needed. For your piece of mind, the quality of my finished sticks will be an indication to you as to how your future stick will look.
From the point that I begin your project I will be in intermittent contact with you throughout the entire crafting. Keep in mind that custom work could take at least a year to finish. The wood you require may need to be imported, and the wood may need to cure (sit and dry out before crafting can begin).
Finally though, do not always worry about a lengthy turn around. If needed I can usually order specific types of wood that are pre-cured. At that point you can expect your item in a few months from the order date.
