After the military, art returned to me and changed how I pursue my goals. Just as a great speech can direct millions a single painting can do the same without one word offered. Painting and creating has become an important grounding tool in the many challenges of PTSD. When my emotions are handled through creativity or a brush hitting a canvas I offer tribute to all people who serve to help anyone in need just as it takes away the painful memories. You don't need to be a Vet like me to protect our freedom. Just do something in the spirit of service to others and unity will follow.
