LaPetra
The band Petra was conceived in Holland originally
under the name of Los Haznis. Later, in Mexico, it
took the name of Petra.
The first concert took place in August 2004, in Victoria
Bar, downtown Mexico City. 600 people attended the
show and there was a positive reaction.

In 2005, Petra recorded it’s first album in México,
called Farah. The band invited Ananta Roosens from
Belgium and Nezih Antakli from Turkey, colleagues
from the Rotterdam Conservatorium, whom played
as guests in the album.
In 2006, the band recorded it’s 2nd album, a double
record called Zinat. The same year, Fausto Palma
wrote the music for the making of Babel, Alejandro
Iñárritu’s movie. Among the pieces composed is a
version of Reggae, Raga, Rock, song from Zinat.
Petra is now recording it’s 3rd album, Dawn. The presentation
is scheduled for autum 2009.
