The Academy of Our Lady of Mercy, Lauralton Hall, est. in 1905 by the Sisters of Mercy, is an independent, Roman Catholic, all-girls high school. It is the oldest Catholic college-preparatory school for girls in Connecticut. In August 2011, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places by the Connecticut Historic Preservation Council.
