California BeeWorks is a company driven by a love of bees. At the heart of our company is a healthy happy hive that is managed respectfully and without the use of chemical pesticides. Our hives are located throughout San Diego and Southern Riverside Counties, many in backyards of bee loving friends. Our products include honey, comb honey and creamed honey, as well as candles from surplus beeswax.
After the honey is removed from the hive it's gently warmed by the sun and only minimally filtered to preserve the essence of the flavors. We bottle our honey in recyclable, reusable glass containers.
Candles are handmade in very small batches by melting and gravity filtering the wax to preserve its natural appearance. Nothing is added to the wax except when coloring for the special ordered overdipped candle. Many of our molds are unique to us though we also provide a full line of classic pillars and tapers. All candles are packaged in compostable material.
