My name is Robin Cameron and I have been hand dyeing yarn at my home in Bothell, Wa since March 2018. After having been an avid knitter since 2009, I decided to give dyeing my own yarn a try. Turns out that I absolutely love it! Keeping an eye to the trends, I also stay true to what I really enjoy as a knitter. I love earthy color palettes inspired by the changing seasons and express this visually through dyeing tonal, variegated and speckled skeins; often combining these methods for a more modern and eye catching effect. I also love to use classic color palettes that coordinate with most any wardrobe.
I opened up my on line Etsy shop last April; while having a web based shop is exciting, I actually really love meeting new like minded people who are passionate about yarn and the craft of knitting or crochet. Thus far, I am able to fulfill this social aspect of my business by hosting trunk shows in local yarn shops - which is really fun! I find that customers enjoy being able to see and feel the yarn in person and to also see the knit samples. In addition to yarn, I also sell hand made stitch markers - my years and experience as a hobbyist in jewelry making have translated well to this craft.
I believe that becoming a vendor at festivals and shows can broaden my business and brand. I imagine the energy to also be very fun, and engaging!
I warmly invite you to check out my gallery. Thank you so much for the opportunity and I look forward to vending at your next event!
