Lynn Rowland began Eben Hill Arts & Crafts seven years ago within her community. Lynn offers free Arts & Crafts as well as Jewelry Making classes to all interested children.
In the summer of 2010, Lynn & the children participated in the Bayside World Market Fair at Portland High School for the fourth year. Lynn was subsequently approached by the Coordinator of the Festival of Nations and agreed to take charge of the children’s activities at the Festival. Along with two adult volunteers and six teenagers from Eben Hill, they offered face painting, beading, designing caps and paper crafts and everyone had a lot of fun! Lynn will also be in charge of Children’s Activities at the Festival of Nations 2011 in Deering Park in Portland.
MISSION STATEMENT
To promote creativity, critical thinking, problem solving and social skills building through hands-on artistic projects. Individual and group projects foster talents, lifelong learning and knowledge sharing within a richly diverse, multi-cultural group of young entrepreneurs.
