Development of bowls and vessels has led to major advancement in every society. My method of creating segmented bowls and other vessels reflects design elements from many cultures. Each piece is built-up working with vibrant natural wood colors to create various designs. The rough bowl, mounted on the lathe, is turned to a final shape, and finish is added to protect the joinery and preserve the colors. Some works are embellished with metals and/or carving.
