Hello my name is David Shale-McCartney Quinault Native. My art professor is Frank Lopez, Yaqui Native
My great grandfather Harry Shale was the first elected president of the Quinault Indian Nation in 1924 years when our treaty was signed. I am David Shale Jr. I grew up my first visit 10 years on the Quinault Indian Nation. The Village of Taholah is located directly west of Seattle right on the coast. We are an indigenous Nation of only 2500 members compared to Nations in Arizona 50 to 100 thousand members. Tucson has been my home for 35 years, however I have and will continue to travel home often. Frank M Lopez was born in Willcox AZ and has called Tucson home for most of his life. Frank has worked and donated thousands of hours teaching, guiding and mentoring young artist at a number of school and after school programs in Tucson.
thank you for your time.
