Since 2006 Northern Solstice Alpaca Farm in Unity Maine has been growing some of the finest quality alpaca fiber in the nation. Due to the outstanding husbandry the annual harvest of alpaca fiber reaches over 350 lbs. The alpaca fiber is sorted and graded and shipped to carefully selected artisans who produce beautiful clothing and gifts. The insulating qualities of alpaca helps to keep you cool in the warm temperatures and toasty warm when the cold weather arrives. As a hypoallergenic and moisture resistant fiber it is perfect in all conditions. We operate 3 retail shops in Maine and offer farm tours daily at the alpaca farm in Unity.
