I have been making jewelry since 1993. Trained in Mexico City as an Industrial Designer, I have been designing and making jewelry full time as a dedicated entrepreneur since 2014. My extensive experience in production processes, packaging design and labelling is an ideal complement to the creative work of designing and making high quality jewelry.
I design and fabricate jewelry that is well made, is comfortable to wear, and which has a personal significance. My greatest reward is when my work speaks to someone's soul, sharing our connection.
I find inspiration in nature, architecture, objects and moments; I slow down long enough to notice and appreciate the small details in the world around me. One such inspirations is my sport of rowing. Other athletes have commissioned numerous pieces inspired by the water, the sport and the passion that we share.
I enjoy each stage of the fabrication process. The process may begin with my own inspiration or with a request from a client.
The medium I mainly use is high quality silver .925
My preferred production process is wax modelling, then casting and finishing the original piece. When I melt and shape wax, I connect directly with the forms, merging my essence with the wax forever.
If a work is destined to be reproduced, I make a mold to get more waxes and cast them; I finish each piece by working directly on the metal using appropriate techniques including sawing, file, sanding, welding, and polishing.
I have no employees, and personally hand fabricate each of my pieces with great attention to detail and the highest quality of finishing.
