Art, design and metal have always been a part of my life. Throughout my childhood and school years I enjoyed many art mediums, my journey to becoming a jewelry artist has been as unique as the pieces I design and create.
Growing up in up-state New York, I started collecting stones at a very young age. My initial interest, I'm sure was a direct result of our regular family outings to mineral outcroppings throughout the eastern United States. My parents being school teachers and amateur hounds were able to teach me about the stones, while enjoying nature. As early as age six, my father was teaching me how to grind and polish the stones we collected. At the age of thirteen, I began to experiment with metal, designing the settings for my lapidary treasures. My father continued to support my enthusiam, working with me as my fabricating skills continued to improve.
Being a self taught metal smith I only know one way to make jewelry, as fine as I possibly can. I hand fabricate my designs using quality American refined and milled sheet and wire. I work in both 14 and 18kt gold and sterling silver. My pieces are a blend of exciting design and high quality metal work.
