My name is Michelle and I am a natural perfume artist, skin care formulator and home goods maker, using all-natural and organic ingredients. I make 80% of my products with the other 20% or less, being the bottles, jars and packaging materials that I buy, that help house my creations. I even design, print and assemble my own labels as well as design my own marketing materials.
My ingredients are a unique blend of western herbs and aromatherapy with traditional Asian ingredients such as green tea, rice powder, azuki beans, ylang ylang oils just to name a few.
My specialty is handcrafting natural perfumes, using dried peels, herbs, essential oils, bark, roots, macerated and tinctured in spirits, carrier oils and waxes. This is a slow but enriching process in which I age my creations before considering them for market. I have created several perfume accords that have been aging for over five years, mellowing, melding and mingling infusions to create rounded, distinct and deeply aromatic scents that only nature can create. I started making skin care products, soy candles and other botanical goodies to help occupy my creative time, in between aging my blends. Just like wine-making, natural perfume compositions become better over time.
As a die-hard tea-drinker, I have also fallen in love with hand-blending my own teas, using herbs, roots, bark, flowers, seeds, dried fruits and peels. The medicinal and therapeutic properties alone make tea drinking essential for health, but combined with aromatic flowers, fruits, barks and roots, tea drinking becomes a sensory experience.
