I'm a professional photographer who loves to be in nature to capture wildlife on land, in the air or in the water. I love eagles, elk, wolves, bears, bison, big horn sheep, caribou, moose, seals, lions, giraffe, zebra, and tigers whether in a National Park, state park, or in an animal preserve. I also love the raw beauty of nature and waterfalls, streams, and the majesty of mountains. I hope that people will see my photos and be inspired to visit the same places to see those animals and their rapidly dwindling habitats. I also love visiting the ruins of ancient civilizations to see and capture how they lived and the beauty which survives.
Since she was 14, Grace has accompanied me on many photographic journeys including an 8800 mile trip to visit most of the national parks that year. On many of our trips, Grace has captured the best shot of the trip. Sometimes because she had the better angle, others because she was carrying the best camera for the shot at the time. With photography, timing matters a lot, but having the eye to know to point the camera in that direction is a gift. She and I seldom work from a tripod. Often we are catching the action freehand. It is a bonding experience that lets us remain agile to see as many animals in the wild or get the most candid shots or animals in captivity as possible.
