Michele Martin Taylor has her own unique post-impressionistic style that explores the subjects of landscape, interiors, and figures. Her art is characterized by its strong composition, expressive paint handling, and sophisticated use of color. Michele is one of four artists chosen between 1960 and 1983 as an Oregon State University Distinguished Alumni and is listed in Who’s Who in American Art (16th edition). In 1983 Schreiner’s Iris Gardens, of Salem, Oregon, named a hybrid iris “Michele Taylor” in honor of her iris garden paintings. She has won many awards in a long career as a professional artist. Michele Martin Taylor’s work has been seen in Architectural Digest , and many other publications. She resided in the Harrisburg area from1989-1998 and her work most appeared in Harrisburg at a show “Susquahanna” at the Fort Hunter Museum in ’03. The artist painted and resided in New York City 04-08 and ran a small gallery as well as painting.In 2009, the artist returned to Portland Oregon and Lives in Portland
