MONROE TOWNSHIP - This year Monroe Township’s Green Fair is set for September 28, 2019 from 10a - 3p at the Monroe Township High School, 200 Schoolhouse Road, Monroe Township, NJ 08831. The Monroe Township Environmental Commission and Monroe Township Library co-sponsor this event to educate the community about healthy and sustainable living as well as how to become responsible environmental stewards. Check out exhibits on green and sustainable living products, recycled/upcycled creations, organic food, environmental and wildlife protection programs, and environmentally friendly products. Stop by the children’s activities wing and enjoy environmental craft making. Drop into the health and wellness area for free flu shots and wellness checks. Outside, visit the EnviroMobile, shredding truck, freecycling booth, locally grown farm table, and bike exchange. Considering an electric vehicle? Why not stop by and take one for a test drive? Check out our featured lectures from Dr. David Robinson, NJ State Climatologist on Climate Change at 11 am and Dr. Maria Choy on the Medical and Environmental Applications of Hemp at 12:30 pm. Come check out our new lecture series on Essential Oils, Aquatic Rehabilitation, and NJ’s Clean Energy Program. Don’t forget to enjoy some authentic Mexican food from Taqueria Maria’s.
