Mooka's Wagon Wares was born from a family tale created when I, as a child, accused my mother of loving her eldest child more than her youngest child.  When confronted my mother jokingly responded, "Of course I do, he's ours and you're adopted!  You were left on our doorstep by a poor gypsy family; when we answered the door we saw the cart rolling away pulled by their donkey, Mooka!"

Over the course of the next 45+ years there were many ongoing stories telling of Mooka's travels, his adventures,  and how he had to work hard to keep his people out of trouble.  One example being the local newspaper headline on the day of my college graduation: "Gypsies Arrested Attempting To Rob Winn-Dixie."  Poor Mooka had to use what little money they had saved to come to my graduation party to post bail for Mildred and Bruce.

Sadly, my mother passed away this year, thus, in her honor Mooka's Wagon Wares was created.
