I am Susan Taylor, founder of Nana's Nic Nacs and I am passionate about (my husband would probably say addicted to) crafting. I left my "real job" of 30 years to spend more time doing what I love. I started making jewelry in 2004 with just a few tools, some beading wire, a few beads and findings, and before long I was hooked!
I have found that creativity begats creativity. Once I start a project, I start thinking of something else whether it is beading, wire wrapping, another medium such as poly clay. Heck, it has even overflowed into other crafts such as soap making.
I love the whole process of creating something from dreaming it, to designing it, and finally creating it. Occasionally I have a person in mind when I design something, but usually the design just pops into my head and I don't know who will appreciate the care I take in making it. It's always nice when I can say Ah ha, that's who I made that for! (Especially when it is a perfect "fit" with that person's personality and style). That's what is the most rewarding for me.
