The Historic National Cattle Congress has been bringing the best in entertainment to Iowa for over 100+ years.
Our biggest annual event is the National Cattle Congress Fair, which provides patrons with a wonderful mix of entertainment, education, music and experience along with livestock and agriculture knowledge.
With a large vendor hall, plenty of space for food trucks and multiple stages for musicians, the National Cattle Congress Fair is the place to be every September!
Along with the annual fair, the National Cattle Congress provides year-round events and activities for the Cedar Valley and surrounding communities and states. We not only provide excellent facilities for private events (such as weddings and workplace celebrations) but also for fundraisers, banquets, rodeos, concerts, wrestling and more! We are proud to say our events provide education, culture diversity, and opportunities for families to enjoy time together with little to no cost.
Our grounds also hold the Historic Electric Park Ballroom, where almost everyone (like Buddy Holly) who had a successful career in music played. Buddy Holly would have had his 3rd show here on Feb 9, 1959 however made his last stop in Clear Lake. We have 3 music venues including the Hippodrome, Electric Park Ballroom and the Pepsi Pavilion.
