Advantage Skill Builders, Lake Oswego, OR
After spending 27 years working as a senior fund development officer and consultant for non-profit organizations, I retired and decided to build a career in jewelery design.
Initial success selling in museum giftshops encourqged me to began building designs using larger and more exotic stones and beads from around the world. Many of the necklaces are designed around focal points that are a unique piece. Examples of these pieces include handmade slices of jaspers and agates that are transparent and show amazing ranges of colors and textures. Some of the pieces are built around unusual focal points such as miniature Japanese Noh masks and pieces of carved amber. My mirrors are mounted on wood and then surrounded with specimen class sea shells and bits of coral. Magnets hold bourquets of shells for your fridge door. Frosted pieces of blue and green beach glass are wrapped in sterling silver wire that also forms a finding to hang the glass from a thin sterling neck chain.
custom orders are welcome.
