I inherited the love of nature from my dad who could identify all the plants and trees. Growing up on a Midwest farm, I learned to love and respect nature; to enjoy the majesty of trees and the beauty of wood. Each wood piece holds a secret story through its grains, knots and character. This is what I bring to my art; to emphasize and appreciate woods' beauty.
I hand craft, design, draw and paint art pieces, using re=purposed cedar and pine. Unique wood items are individually cut and hand sanded. Works are inspired by nature as well as the woods' character, grains and knots. Examples include art pieces small to large as wall hangings, ornaments, and other fun pieces. It is my way to appreciate and bring nature inside.
