Dan Daniels is one of those musicians who, since 1969, have been working towards perfecting their sound. Dan's main instrument is the acoustic guitar, but builds and records with the Appalachian Dulcimer and Claw Hammer banjo. Dan is indeed an accomplished player and builder of these wonderful American folk instruments that are played by many across the US. Dan currently lives in the Northern California town of Yreka that sits in the Shasta Valley in the shadow of Mt. Shasta. Dan is also the owner of the Shasta Sound Studio providing a recording venue of acoustic artist in Northern California and Southern Oregon. Dan's company, New Traditions Dulcimer Company has been building mountain dulcimers, mountain banjos and Mission style clocks tables and chest since 1982.
