As a Christian visual artist, my primary goal is to communicate with viewers by inviting them into each work for spiritual reflection and discernment. The title and composition of each piece is designed to enhance this dialogue between the artist and the viewer to bring about a deeper awareness of various spiritual realities. In the surrealistically styled compositions, desertscapes are inspired by the rich biblical symbolism of beauty and harshness found in the desert. For other compositions, contemplative abstractions are created so that different techniques and themes can be explored.
