The Deacons perform all kinds of American music. The Deacons band is comprised of 5 veteran musicians (35-50 years experience each) who all sing lead and background vocals in addition to being accomplished on their respective instruments. Those instruments are: Electric Viola, Keyboard, Guitar, Bass, and Drums. Much of the Deacons music is original, and performances are both exciting and engaging. The group has performed approximately 1,000 times in Virginia, Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Delaware. The group formed in 1996 and has self-produced 4 CDs, selling between 1,000 and 6,500 copies of each to date. Additionally, the Deacons have transacted internet sales on 6 continents in 23 countries to date.
Cargo and the Heavy Lifters began performing in 2015 and have drawn sizable crowds to nightclub performances. The Heavy Lifters feature the remarkable voice of Randy McCargo backed up by 3 members of the Deacons and a former Deacons drummer. The group performs Classic and Modern Rock, Soul, and Rhythm and Blues. McCargo is best known for his stellar vocal contributions to the legendary Chris Polk Band over a period spanning 3 decades. McCargo's larger-than-life talent and charisma are enhanced by the driving rhythms, tight arrangements, and energetic melodies of the Heavy Lifters.
11th Hour is a power trio performing 60's and 70's rock music featuring bands like the Who, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin and Cream. The group is best known for superlative bass and guitar solos. Formed in 1998, 11th Hour has played over 400 festival and nightclub shows.
