Each piece of seaglass used in Ocean Charms Jewelry is authentic seaglass found on the beaches of Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. While my husband was stationed there we were lucky enough to have access to beautiful beaches surrounding the small base. Collecting sea glass was a past time that my young son and I enjoyed almost everyday.
Authentic sea glass is produced from discarded glass that has been naturally tumbled by sand and sea before washing to shore as a beautifully smooth gem. Each piece is unique with its own story behind it, and can date from ancient times to the present. One can only imagine where the glass originated and how long it has been bobbing in the sea. Sea glass comes in a rainbow of colors with red, blue, black, pink and purple being the rarest; white,brown and Kelly green, the most common.
