Vinyl Art
I started using old vinyl to create artwork a couple of years ago. It was a cheap alternative to canvas. I started by spray painting the records and then using acrylic paint to paint them. One day I got a package in the mail from my sister. She had sent me a stack of old records but in the course of shipping they had broken into a bunch of small pieces. I saw a guy who had done a portrait of Jimi Hendrix using all guitar picks and seeing the broken records gave me the idea to do the same thing using the broken record pieces. It's an awesome look for little to nothing.
