One Paisley Chick showcases my mixed-media assemblage tendencies with found objects and rescued elements. While I create pieces meant to be displayed, most of my art is wearable and unique in that I never know what elements I'll discover in my trove of bits and pieces. I prefer weathered, vintage, stone, glass, metal and organics that have their own history, rather than the new, virgin, mass-produced 'suggestions' found in so many stores. Brand new elements have merit though, if I can incorporate them in a completely alternate plane of existence than what was scripted for them. I'm a gatherer with the soul of a gypsy mermaid.
