Direct, manage and operate a small business firm whose activities includes small business consulting; event planning; entertainment management; event production; producing and promotion of Jazz, Blues, R&B and Contemporary artists. Some of these artists have encompassed Lenny Williams, Rose Royce, the Manhattans, Friends of Distinction, Pete Escovedo, the Dazz Band, El DeBarge, the Ballads, the Drifters, the Platters, Jesse James, Miss Faye Carol, James DeBarge, the legendary California Malibus, the Whispers, Little Milton, Legendary Finnie Mo, Sheila Escovedo, Juan Escovedo, ConFunShun, Lueneil, Tony Lindsay, Etta James, Robin Duhe, Ron Moton and key local talented artists in productions and promotions of live entertainment events in local area entertainment venues.
Cultivate relationships to attract prospective clients and artists, while hosting major events that generate substantial economic and social impact.
Manage key artists and projects to maximize event interests, which include: administering budgets, organizing events, spearheading committees, and advertising, generating media interest, and increasing visibility. Write and disseminate press releases and public service announcements in promotion of events and projects.
Conduct research to identify new opportunities for bringing about innovation in events, while searching and negotiating a suitable venues or locations as per the requirement or budgetary constraints of the client. Manage and develop strategic plans of action to ensure that the cost of the event remains under the pre-determined budget.
Facilitate communication with professionals, including venue management, stand designers, caterers, contractors, and equipment rentals to ensure efficient running of the respective event. Carry out all the functions as per legal guidelines and regulations.
Train and supervised new and existing staff, prior to the events, so that all operations and duties are executed smoothly and as per clients' guidelines.
Direct and managed the legendary California Malibus from1975 – 2011, whom in 2011 were inducted in the Texas Blues Hall of Fame and additionally were inducted in 2012 into the West Coast Blues Hall of Fame. Received recognition with the West Coast Blues Hall of Fame Management Award from the legendary California Malibus.
